Was der Röster sagt

Impressions: Mars Bar, Apple, Macadamia, Chamomile Process: Washed Variety: Pache San RamonAltitude: 1900 MASL Location El DuraznoFarm: El Nanse Roast Level: Medium - Light 250G A very special Guatemala coffee to us as Irineo was September's first producer partner. This Pache San Ramon is everything we love about Guatemala daily sippers - fitting within our storm series it has a great balance of approachability and uniqueness to draw the specialty coffee hardcores and your in-laws who have never experienced specialty coffee. You know? In the cup Kyle gets big sweetness like hazelnuts and macadamia with rich chocolate. Natasha also gets baked apples and a delicate floral like chamomile. We think this coffee is a great daily driver for both filter and espresso. A note from Irineo: “Since I was ten years old coffee has created work not only for residents of this community but also those further to the West of us and this is the main way we sustain ourselves. Pache San Ramon is the only crop in our communities and that’s why we’re willing to fight against mineral exploitation so that it doesn’t contaminate our products.” Irineo lives in El Durazno, one of the further removed villages from Mataquescuintla central but possessing some of the highest altitudes of all the group members. Perched at 1900MASL, he farms a small plot of 3 hectares alongside his brothers-in- law, Gregorio and Rene Muñoz. Price Transparency FOB: $3.40 USD/LB We Paid Semilla: $5.15USD/LB
