Our light roast results in a complex cup with notes of crisp mandarin, hibiscus, and dark plum with a syrupy mouthfeel. MAJIRANE COFFEE/COOP-CA was founded in 2020 by six women from Kalehe Territory in South Kivu Province. Today, it provides permanent employment to seven women and seasonal employment to more than 150 women and men. The Coop also strives to achieve the following goals for its members and the community at large: Promote the cultivation of coffee through the availability of improved and certified seeds from the National Seed Service (SENASEM); Improve production for its members and the surrounding population; Increase both the quality and quantity of coffee to remain competitive in the market; Improve and disseminate agropastoral production techniques through training and awareness efforts in order to boost community agricultural output; Promote local initiatives to maintain agricultural feeder roads; Strengthen gender equity and support self-sufficiency initiatives for members.
