Was der Röster sagt

Fruity Classics A juicy washed Kenyan with bright fruit, plenty of sweetness and a clean, refreshing finish. • Process: Washed • Variety: Batian, SL-34, Ruiru 11, SL-28 • Origin: Kenya • Tasting Notes: Blueberry, Cantaloupe, Strawberry Want this for espresso? Mwirua Gathambi AA is a coffee with tons of fruit flavour and a bright, juicy personality. This blend of four varieties pairs the lively acidity we love in Kenyan coffees with an easy sweetness that keeps us coming back for more. Behind this coffee are the smallholder farmers who deliver their cherries to Gathambi Factory in Kirinyaga, Kenya. Gathambi is part of Mwirua Farmers’ Cooperative Society, established in 1954. Many members tend just a few hundred coffee trees, bringing their harvests together through the cooperative for processing and sale. At Gathambi, cherries are carefully sorted, pulped and graded by density before fermentation. The coffee is then washed, soaked in fresh water and dried slowly on raised beds for 8–14 days. There’s care at every step, helping all that bright, sweet character shine through.
