> The Thageini wet mill, one of four operated by the Aguthi Farmer's Co-operative Society in Nyeri County, is the second largest, with around 450 members. The Society provides training on farm management and agronomy, fostering learning among producers. Our green bean partner, Project Origin partnered with Thageini in 2017, investing in infrastructure after an outstanding 2018 harvest. In 2019, they installed Carbonic Maceration equipment, using refined techniques from several countries, and funded new drying beds. This CM Amber selection is a testament to their continued collaboration and innovation.
