## O que a marca diz

> Tasting Notes: Maple, Panela, CreamyOrigin: Colombia - AntioquiaProcess: Washed, E.A. Decaffeination Elevation: 1700-2100mVarietal: Castillo, Caturra, ColombiaSourced By: Falcon From our importer: Located in the southwestern region of Antioquia, within the lush mountains of the Western Andes, Helvetia’s presence in Jardín represents resilience and renewed opportunity for the local coffee community. When the Andes cooperative ceased operations, many growers were left without a secure channel for commercialization. In response, Helvetia stepped in as a reliable safety net—establishing a purchase point that not only guarantees market access, but also provides agronomic assistance, technical guidance, and social support programs to strengthen producers’ livelihoods. The region’s elevations, ranging from 1,700 to 2,100 meters above sea level, create idealconditions for specialty coffee production. Cool mountain temperatures slow cherry maturation, enhancing natural sugars and developing bright yet balanced acidity. Fertile volcanic soils rich in organic matter, combined with consistent rainfall distribution, allow for two annual harvests and stable, high-quality yields. Coffee cultivation in this area is led by small- and medium-scale family farms where tradition and innovation coexist. Knowledge passed down through generations is complemented by Helvetia’s technical team, which supports best practices in crop management, post-harvest processes, and sustainability standards. By removing intermediaries and fostering transparent, long-term relationships, Helvetia ensures producers receive fair value while maintaining strict quality control tailored to specialty market demands. Through certification initiatives and sustainability programs, Helvetia actively contributes to the economic, social, and environmental development of the region. Its direct engagement with growers enables the identification of outstanding micro-lots and the consistent delivery of coffees that reflect the distinct character of Jardín’s mountainous terroir.
