Ethiopia - Burtukaana Bombe Natural Get 20% off! Was £12.50 per 250g, now £10. 1kg bags were £41.80, now £33.44 Varietal – VariousPreparation – NaturalLocation – Bensa, SidamaAltitude – 1900-2150 maslImporter - Nordic Approach Producer Overview This natural processed coffee comes from a co-operative of coffee farmers located in Bensa, Sidama. Producers work together to produce a range of coffee including natural and washed processed coffees harvested from high altitude farms. The washing station is run by Tariku coffee and they focus on training farmers to achieve better quality and higher yields from their trees. Harvesting and Processing: Coffee is grown and harvested on small hold farms located between 1900 and 2150masl. This is considered very high altitude helping to contribute to a stunning cup profile. All coffee is hand harvested with very careful ripe cherry selection. After harvesting the coffee is delivered to the washing station and dried on raised tables. Tasting Notes: Blueberry, strawberry, red grape. This is a classic Ethiopian natural processed coffee showcasing juicy, fruity notes that we absolutely love from the best coffees of Ethiopia. Brewing: This coffee works for all brew methods but can be a challenge for espresso due to the light roast and high acidity. We prefer this coffee brewed as a filter without milk. Filter: Dose 15g, water 250g. Espresso: Dose 17 gram to 40 gram yield over about 30 seconds. This coffee is available as whole bean and pre-ground, but we recommend always grinding fresh before brewing. We sell a range of grinders if you would like to grind this coffee fresh at home.
