## O que a marca diz

> RUERA PB – Kiambu, Kenya This vibrant, juicy peaberry has arrived with us from Ruera Estate's washing station in Kenya. The coffee's gooseberry acidity and pineapple sweetness open things up, while a liquorice aftertaste rounds out the cup, becoming especially pronounced as the coffee cools. Soft, layered, and full of character from first sip to last.Ruera PB grows on the red volcanic soils of Kiambu County, on gently sloping hills roughly 15 km from Ruiru town, at an elevation of 1,577 metres above sea level. This 190-hectare estate is planted with SL-34, Ruiru 11, SL-28, and Batian varieties, hand-picked and processed using the washed method.Ruera Estate is managed by Coffee Management Services Ltd (CMS), whose nearly two decades of agronomic expertise and genuine commitment to sustainability — from reforestation and erosion control to responsible waste management — are reflected throughout the estate's operations. The estate also invests directly in its local community: it employs more than 1,000 Kenyans and provides education and healthcare services to workers and their families on-site. The "PB," or Peaberry, in this coffee's name refers to the fact that it comes from cherries that developed just one bean (technically a seed) inside, rather than the usual two. This is a natural occurrence found in only a small proportion of cherries. These smaller, rounder beans are separated out at the washing station and sold on as their own distinct lot.
