O que a marca diz

Variety: Gesha Region: Cusco, Peru Altitude: 2,150 Meters Above Sea Level Process: Washed Harvest: October 2025 Notes: Jasmine, Apricot & Pear. Yesica Ale's Gesha is our last Peruvian coffee of the main harvest season this year. Her Gesha has a transfigured character from within her epic growing landscape. The first impressions of this coffee are elegant and understated with detail. In the cup, there are notes of white flowers, apricot, sweet lime, panela, apple and pear. The cup is viscous with a notable amount of body for a Gesha whilst still feeling light & clean on the finish. Yesica Llanqui Ale is a leading woman in her area and an active participant in coffee related activities in her community. She is a promoter of women’s participation in specialty coffee production and advocate for those who need support in their farm projects. She has achieved recognition in Cusco Region and has a bit of a local following for character and success as a high-end producer. FlowerChild is honored to share her hard work with you. This Gesha was hand picked at peak ripeness. All cherries are washed to eliminate impurities and then floated cherries are discarded. Cherries are then de-pulped & fermented for 30 hours until the mucilage separates from the parchment. Once this process is finished, coffee beans are washed and put out to dry on shaded drying beds for 16 days. Once coffee beans reach just under 11% moisture content approximately, they are sealed in GrainPro bags and polypropylene bags. The Gesha variety originally comes from the Ethiopian Gesha coffee forests and has been popularized by Panamanian coffee farms. Over the years, this coffee has moved about nurseries and mutated along the way. This variety has been celebrated as one of the world's most prized coffee varieties. Gesha is an heirloom variety that has varying results from region to region. Although it can be difficult to successfully grow and harvest, the cup quality can be outstanding. Our coffees are best after two weeks+ of the roast date.

Order by Sunday for next Monday's roast. Shipped on Tuesdays.
