O que a marca diz

Flavour description: A sweet aroma of dried apricot. This is a delicate cup with notes of apricot, brown sugar and citrus zest with a cooling finish. The coffee has a light to medium mouthfeel of elderflower lemonade. Colour: Turquoise Category: Curious Producer: Erwin "Wingo" Jr Mierisch Varietal: Java Processing: Fully washed. Common for Nicaragua, the coffee is washed and separated by density directly at the farm before it is taken by truck to the process station. At the processing station the coffee is de-pulped (beans removed from the coffee cherry), fermented overnight and dried on raised beds. Location: Lipululu in the region Jinotega Farm size: 20 manzanas (about 13 hectares) Elevation: 1450-1500 meters above sea level Harvest: January to February 2025 Price Transparency: The FOB price paid for this coffee was $4,00 US/Ib Las Delicias Washed Java in the region Jinotega in Nicaragua, is produced by the youngest producer, Erwin "Wingo" Jr Mierisch, with whom we got the absolute joy to work with. Still in his 30s, Erwin Jr is not a rising star; he is in the full swing of producing the best coffee there is out there. He is involved in quality with all of the farms from the Mierisch family, but Las Delicias is one that is his very first own farm. Wingo is making this elegant, floral coffee shine more and open up more every year. Las Delicias Washed Java is produced by the Mierisch family and is one of the prettiest, most well-balanced coffees we have had all year. Wingo's skill and expertise are evident in the delicate and bright profile of their Javas (as well as numerous times they've won Nicaragua's "Cup of Excellence"), which gets more and more intense notes of citric and apricot every year. In fact, we love this tasteprofile so much, this coffee so much, that we even used it as the mother plant for the Java we are working with from La Linda in Bolivia. The Mierisch family are also very active in developing numerous social and environmental projects to improve the quality of life for the hundreds of workers they employ, the local community and the ecosystem. If any one producer could single-handedly demonstrate just how significantly coffee can positively impact society, it'd have to be them.
