Exemplary and consistent quality year on year - SNAP has it dialled, these stations helped put Gedeb on the map as a notable micro-region in its own right, separate & distinct from the neighbouring Yirgacheffe and Kochere. Traceability Country of Origin: Ethiopia Region: Worka Chelbesa, Gedeb, Gedeo Producer: Alemayahu Tilahun (station manager), smallholder farmers delivering cherry to SNAP Coffee Farm: Chelbesa Washing Station Variety: Primarily Wolisho and Dega (local landraces), alongside JARC cultivars Elevation: 1900 - 2200 MASL Process: Traditional Washed: Ripe red cherries selectively picked and delivered to Chelbesa. Cherries floated to remove underripes and debris before pulping. Parchment wet fermented for 72 hours in ceramic tanks, then washed through grading channels with a final 2 hour soak.
