> La Pitina is named after the waterfall which runs alongside the wet mill and farm of this special initiative. As part of an effort to showcase the critical role which women take in coffee production - La Pitina was created in collaboration with the women of the Alvarado Family Project, spearheading the idea to create custom lots of coffee selected and prepared especially by them. Most importantly of all they see a future for themselves in the specialty coffee industry and to promote their work and the belief in an accepting community of everyone. This is the Honey- processed lot from the Alvarado Family, where a small amount of the fruit is left on the beans during drying, helping to increase complexity in the final cup.
