## O que a marca diz

> This exceptional microlot comes from Gathambi Coffee Factory, a washing station operated by the Mwirua Farmers Co-operative Society and located in the region of Kirinyaga County. Situated at 1,700 metres above sea level, Gathambi benefits from rich red volcanic soils, cool temperatures and reliable rainfall, creating ideal conditions for producing some of Kenya's most vibrant and expressive coffees. Established in 1963, Gathambi Coffee Factory serves farming communities across Kiambagathi, Kirichi and Kandegwa villages in central Kenya. The factory works with hundreds of dedicated smallholder farmers who carefully cultivate coffee on nutrient-rich volcanic soils at high elevation. The cooperative supports its producer members through farmer training, access to agricultural inputs and sustainability programmes designed to improve both coffee quality and long-term livelihoods Process During harvest, ripe cherries are delivered for traditional washed processing. After pulping, the coffee is fermented, washed with fresh water and dried slowly on raised beds. This meticulous process highlights the clarity, complexity and fruit-forward character that make coffees from Kirinyaga so sought after. - **Region:** Kirinyaga County - **Variety:** SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 - **Process:** Washed - **Altitude:** 1700masl - **Aroma:** Dried Cranberries - **Tasting:** Rhubarb, Gooseberry & Blackberry Jam - **Acidity:** Medium/High - **Body:** Full Although we recommend purchasing coffees as wholebean for freshness, you can also purchase this Microlot to be ground for your preferred brew method.
