## Ce que dit la marque

> Leidy Yohana Bastidas A washed process Pink Bourbon coffee from Huila, Colombia * * * Coffee Details Origin: Vereda La Cristalina, Pitalito, Huila, Colombia Producer: Leidy Yohana Bastidas Hernández Farm: Bella Rosa Process: Washed Varietal: Pink Bourbon Altitude: 1,650 masl * * * Tasting Notes Mandarin Orange • White Grape • Jasmine • Honey * * * Yohana produces this coffee at Finca Bella Rosa, in Vereda La Cristalina, Pitalito, Huila, at 1,650 metres. She inherited the farm from her mother, Rosalba, and named it in her honor. Yohana has managed the farm for three years, growing 2,000 Pink Bourbon trees. Alongside farming, Yohana works as a coffee quality analyst at an independent lab in Pitalito, where she evaluates samples, roasts, and runs sensory analysis for producers across the region. She's spent over eight years in the coffee industry, including work with a cooperative and a differentiated coffee exporter in southern Huila. Bella Rosa doesn't have its own processing infrastructure, so Yohana transports her cherries by motorcycle to a nearby farm for processing. There, the cherries undergo 70 hours of oxidation, are depulped, then fermented dry for 36 hours before being washed with local spring water. The coffee is then dried for 20 days under a marquesina. We spent time with Yohana this past summer, cupping coffees and learning from her in the lab, along with farm visits together. Kristin PdL, our co-founder, even had the chance to practice her Spanish with Yohana on the drives out to the farm. After learning about the infrastructure limitations at Bella Rosa, we committed to funding processing equipment to support her work directly. This is a small lot: Bella Rosa produces just seven 70kg bags of exportable coffee per year. In the cup, expect notes of mandarin orange, white grape, jasmine, and honey. * * * Best for: Filter • Pour Over Read the full story on our blog
