PROFILE: Crisp and UpliftingWITH NOTES OF Blood Orange, Raspberry, CacaoROAST: Light Roast For Filter Brewing Download the Faustino Flores Benegas, Peru Transparency Report ABOUT Faustino Flores Benegas is an independent, second-generation coffee producer. With the support of his wife, Sarah, and son, David, the family cultivates Caturra, Red Bourbon, and Catimor varieties alongside guava, bananas, and around 30 large cedar trees—the inspiration for their farm’s name, El Cedro. Since 2018, they have been steadily improving the farm’s infrastructure and striving for higher-quality coffee. The results speak for themselves: in 2022, their coffee earned a spot in the national round of Peru’s prestigious Cup of Excellence competition. Driven by a strong commitment to quality, the family is determined to go even further, setting their sights on securing a place in the COE finals. We believe they have an excellent chance. We discovered this remarkable lot through our export partner, Carvala, and were blown away by its crisp, fresh fruit acidity and impeccable structure. As the coffee cools, its texture and balance truly shine.
