Region: Monte Cristo de Guerrero, Chiapas Elevation: 640 masl About: Rodulfo Santizo Morales has been a coffee producer his entire life. Growing up in the town of Monte Cristo de Guerrero, his first exposure to coffee came at a very young age, learning alongside his family as they worked on various farms in the region. What began as a child’s curiosity grew into a passion and dedication to coffee production. In 1983, Don Rodulfo set out to build a sustainable economic future for his own family. Starting with just 0.5 hectares, Finca Miravalle has since grown to 5 hectares, planted with Bourbon, Typica, Caturra, and Marsellesa varieties. As the farm has expanded, Don Rodulfo has implemented new management practices, resulting in significant improvements in the quality of coffee produced. The farm remains a family business, enabling Don Rodulfo to provide education for his children, who also play an active role in managing the cultivation and post-harvest processes. Looking ahead, Don Rodulfo aims to continue enhancing both the physical and sensory qualities of the coffee produced at Finca Miravalle. This coffee is naturally processed at Finca Miravalle and features a thick, syrupy body with plenty of juicy fruit notes.
