The name “Abana,” meaning “Our Fathers” in Arabic, honors the deep roots of wild Arabica coffee in Ethiopia and the Omran family’s heritage. Sustainability is central to their mission, ensuring fair wages, education, and environmentally responsible practices such as water-efficient processing and forest preservation. The Anderacha lot is named after a river bordering Abana Estate, which nourishes the land and community. This lot undergoes unique cherry fermentation before processing, enhancing sweetness, complexity, and balance. Nestled in the Oromia region’s highland forests, the farm fosters biodiversity, utilizes a water-recycling wet mill, and supports social programs, reinforcing Abana’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
