Product Description Producer Nyabirongo Washing Station Farm/Mill Numerous Smallholders Cultivar SL14 SL28 Process Natural Location Rwenzori Mountains Altitude 1800 - 2000 masl Harvest 2024 Expect notes of Melon, Pecan and Caramel Coffee Story This extraordinary coffee is more than just a delicious brew; it's the realisation of a dream. Named in honour of the Bakonzo people of Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains, Bukonzo Dream is the culmination of a partnership between a passionate washing station manager, Chris, a member of the Bakonzo Tribe, and our Ugandan coffee importers, Omwani Coffee. Chris dreamt of seeing coffee from his people enjoyed here in the UK, and together, they made it a reality. Bukonzo Dream is sourced from over 2,000 dedicated farmers near Kituei, working with the "profit-for-purpose" organisation, Agri Evolve. This partnership has revitalised the Rwenzori coffee region, providing farmers with fair prices, quality control, and access to the global market. Each bean is meticulously processed, from careful hand-sorting and floating to weeks of sun-drying on raised beds. This meticulous process, overseen by skilled local workers, results in a truly exceptional coffee. Savour the dream, support the Bakonzo people, and experience the unique flavour of this wonderful Ugandan coffee. Roast type We don’t label our coffee as espresso or filter. Instead, for each coffee we create a unique roasting profile, designed to bring out the best flavours from its origin, farm and milling method. That’s why, instead, we label our coffee based on the experience it brings to the cup. COFFEE EXPERIENCES VIBRANT & BRIGHT: A sweet, punchy and intense reminder that coffee is a fruit.
