Variety: Gesha Farm: Elida Estate Region: Boquete, Chiriquí, Panama Altitude: 1,700-1,900+ Meters Process: Washed Harvest: March 2026 Notes: Nectarine, Honey, Orange Blossom & Jasmine. We are proud to present a special Gesha offering from the highly acclaimed Lamastus Family Elida Estate. The Lamastus Family has made a name for themselves as one of the world's greatest coffee producers. This lot is a wonderfully juicy and citric cup. The profile of this coffee is delicate & detailed with stone-fruit to floral layers. In the cup we get notes of wildflower honey, mandarine, jasmine and white peach. This brew is exquisite and long with elegant taste and aroma. The Lamastus Family has being producing coffee in Elida Estate for four generations since 1918. Elida Estate coffees are produced under a unique world-ecological condition: it is shade-grown, bird-friendly, the farm is located at a very high elevation, in a microclimate with very low temperatures, the coffee trees are surrounded by the Volcan Baru National Park - a virgin native cloudy rain forest. At the turn of the century, Kentucky born Robert Lamastus started an Arabica coffee plantation in a farm located at around 5,600 ft (1,700 m) above sea level in the remote regions of the Baru Volcano in Boquete, Panama. At the time, Mr. Lamastus processed and exported what is still today considered one of the highest quality coffees in the world. Three generations later the tradition continues, the Lamastus family, still produces, processes, & exports its own rare estate coffees. Hand picked at peak ripeness from the Torre site of the Elida Estate. The seeds were held in-cherry to ferment for 24 hours. Depulped. Dry fermented for 36 hours. Meticulously hand washed. Dried for 14 days on raised beds until the parchment reached a stable moisture content. The Gesha variety originally comes from the Ethiopian Gesha coffee forests and has been popularized by Panamanian coffee farms. Over the years, this coffee has moved about nurseries and has altered it's genetic makeup with each new place it crops up. This Ethiopian original T2722 has been celebrated as one of the world's most prized coffee varieties. Gesha is an heirloom variety that has varying results from region to region. Although it can be difficult to successfully grow and harvest, the cup quality can be outstanding. 130g. Bag of Roasted Coffee. Best after two weeks of the roast date. Roast Date: August 24th. A few bags remaining.
