Flavour Notes: Pomegranate, Raspberry, OrangeOrigin: Kiambu County, KenyaProducer: Ndundu FactoryProcessing: WashedFarm: Ndundu FactoryVariety: SL28, SL34Altitude: 1600-1700 m.a.s.l. Roast Profile: FilterRoast Degree: LightFrom Kiambu’s Ndundu Factory, this fully washed SL28/SL34 lot is everything we love about classic Kenyan coffee: precise, vibrant and crystal clear in the cup. Expect pomegranate and raspberry up front, followed by a sweet, orange-led finish.Smallholder farmers handpick only ripe cherry and deliver it to Ndundu the same day. At the factory, cherry is rigorously sorted by flotation and by eye before pulping. The parchment then ferments overnight, is washed through grading channels, often given an additional clean-water soak, and finally dried slowly on raised beds. It’s a meticulous process geared entirely towards clarity and structure.SL28 and SL34 are Kenya’s benchmark varieties for sweetness, complexity and bright, wine-like acidity, and this lot is a textbook example. The result is a cup with layered red fruit, a refreshing citrus lift and a long, tidy finish. We source this coffee with partners who are working beyond Kenya’s traditional auction system—collaborating with local companies and cooperatives to shorten the supply chain and increase transparency so more value remains at origin. We roast this lightly for filter to honour the work done at farm and factory level, showcasing the coffee’s natural character. What stands out for us is the interplay of red fruit and citrus—pomegranate and raspberry framed by juicy orange—with remarkable cleanliness throughout.250g €/kg: 63.6€ | 1kg €/kg: 51.9€All coffees come as whole beans. If you need a coffee grinder we highly recommend purchasing the Fellow Ode Grinder. All prices include mwst.
