Ce que dit la marque
WHY THIS COFFEE? We—and you—loved EXP009 (Passionfruit) so much that we had to try different versions of it. We had the banana co-ferment and fell in love again. It's a little different: honey, not washed, and with wine yeast. It's like biting into fresh baked banana bread. Jairo Arcila, a Colombian coffee producer, processed this coffee with banana bread and wine yeast to bring out extraordinary fruit flavors. The coffee is a Castillo variety (see here for more information) grown at the Santa Monica farm in Quindio, Colombia. COFFEE DETAILS Producer: Jairo Arcila Location: Quindío, Colombia from the Santa Monica farm Varietal: Castillo Processing: Honey processing with wine yeast and banana Green cost: $14.71/lb Percentage paid to producers: 90% BREW GUIDE How long to rest: Three to four weeks. This is a light coffee. We taste: Freshly baked banana bread: lots of baking spices behind a yeasty, bready, banana-filled aroma and cup. We like: flat-bottom brewer, slightly finer grind, 1:16 ratio and mid-range temps around 203F. PACKAGING NOTE The images represent our in-store, retail packaging. If you'd like a stickered box, just drop us an email.WHY THIS COFFEE? We—and you—loved EXP009 (Passionfruit) so much that we had to try different versions of it.
