> The Worka Chelbessa washing station is operated by SNAP, a vertically integrated coffee company with a network of washing stations and a dry mill in Ethiopia. Around 765 smallholder farmers deliver ripe cherries to Worka Chelbessa, where the coffee is washed using the traditional Ethiopian method to reveal its inherent complexity. Worka Chelbessa is the first of several washing stations owned by SNAP to transition to using solar power and just the second solar-powered washing station in the country.
