The same attention to detail they have for their coffee clearly carries through to their hosting. Whether you’re getting chauffeured by Maria through the winding roads of San Salvador, or sharing a drink with Alfredo at his favorite rum bar, it’s unmistakable that they care deeply and passionately about their relationships, their coffee, their country, and their community. The Pacas Family planted Kenya trees at Finca La Esperanza in volcanic soil under a cool mountain climate, where slow cherry maturation builds sweetness and flavor clarity. This lot traces its genetics back to breeding work at Scott Agricultural Laboratories in Kenya, hence the variety’s name. It became a specialty benchmark for vibrant acidity, rich sweetness, and aromatic complexity.
