After harvesting, the caturra field blend undergoes a careful and measured anaerobic fermentation with dehydrated strawberries, afterwards being sent off for decaffeination. It tastes SUPERB, which is saying a lot for a decaf! Second of all, it truly does taste like delicious cherries and chocolate! I just finished sipping a cup of this, and I am astounded. At 29 weeks pregnant, and as someone who thoroughly enjoys her coffee daily routine, this is such a gift! It's definitely a quality coffee, and has no hint of "decaf" processing, but the maraschino cherry flavour is pretty overwhelming. I was hoping for more strawberries. Unfortunately, the scent is also overwhelming, and was retained in my grinder. Ironically, my next cup (with different coffee) had the "right" amount of flavour for me. It's an absolutely wonderful late night coffee drinking experience.
