> An elegant, tea-like cup with juicy character, botanical aromatics and a silky body leading into a long finish.Bourbon Aruzi shares an intriguing connection with another variety we’ve recently featured: Bourbon Ají. Despite their Colombian origin and Bourbon names, both point back towards Ethiopian genetics. Aruzi was discovered in Inzá after growers noticed an unusual tree among more familiar varieties. Seeds were propagated and sent for analysis, which found a close relationship with Ethiopian heirloom coffees. Its strong productivity and tolerance to disease encouraged farmers in the region to propagate it further.
