Maybe more than any other coffee last year, it cemented itself in the BOTZ CPU and pleasantly shattered our pink bourbon expectations with its tropical intensity and elegance. Call me robotically crazy, but pink bourbon lots from Finca Cataluña (managed by Flor Marina Betancourt and her family) have a profile I find vibrantly enticing and void of distraction. It’s one of the few moments when we experience passion fruit vividly in coffee, and we simply can’t get enough. Like the best pink bourbons, this lot from Finca Cataluña is ripe and buoyant. Its main flavor focus centers on passion fruit and a rich caramelized sensation resembling dulce de leche (one of BOTZ’s flavor combos ever…I blame my Sister). As you sip this lot, you’ll find each sip rich and fulfilling with a heavy candy bar and tropical echoes. As it cools, you’ll find the profile to become slightly more tart, resembling an orange starburst and raspberry syrup. From the first sip to the last, this coffee offers a refined fruity and decadent experience. In a world where pink bourbon lots become more prevalent, pink bourbon lots from Finca Cataluña immaculately showcase their own inimitable flavor expressions. Whenever BOTZ has the chance to offer and roast one, we give it our all so you can experience what makes Finca Cataluña coffees so exceptional. ***Please note that coffee orders are roasted and processed on Saturdays.
