While in most of the coffee-growing world, the varieties of coffee being grown come from the same, narrow gene pool, Ethiopia produces wildly different coffee varieties, the earliest dating back many millennia. Ethiopian coffees at their best are explosively fragrant and boast distinctive floral and fruit tones; Chelelektu balances bright, sweet citrus flavors with tones of dark fruit and Merlot.
