## Lo que dice la marca

> Product detailed description Coffee Story * * * The Monteiro Lobato blend, which got its name from the well-known Brazilian writer, is created through close collaboration between Ocafi company and the neighbouring farms surrounding Fazenda Pinheiro. Each lot is carefully chosen based on flavour profile, bean density, and colour uniformity to deliver a consistent and balanced cup. By choosing this coffee, we support the Fazedores de Café program in São Paulo, which offers barista training to students from socially and economically vulnerable backgrounds. This program empowers youth and strengthens the local community. Moreover, for every bag sold, one tree is planted on the Pinheiro farm, enhancing reforestation efforts and maintaining ecological balance throughout the Rio Pardo region. Region & Farm * * * Region Rio Pardo Situated in between Mogiana Region and southern Minas Gerais Region. The region benefits from an ideal blend of altitude, climate, and fertile soil. These conditions produce high-quality beans with balanced acidity, medium body, and flavour notes of chocolate, nuts, and a hint of stone fruit. Local farmers prioritize sustainability and traditional practices to protect the area’s rich biodiversity. * * * Farm Fazenda Pinheiro Maria Silva and Marco A. Guardabaxo acquired the fazenda from Ruben Pinheiro in 2003 and planted a total of 9.5 hectares of coffee in 2007. The farm sits at between 800 to 900 m.a.s.l., with the coffee plantations lying in the flat plains of the farm and the eucalyptus trees spreading over the many hills. Since November 2003, Marco has been using his knowledge of agronomy to consistently renovate and expand the fazenda. * * * Processing & Flavor The beans undergo a natural process. They spend around 12 days drying on patios to enhance sweetness, followed by 10 hours in mechanical dryers for moisture precision. Finally, they rest for 15 days in wooden Tulhas, allowing flavours to stabilise and deepen. This meticulous processing results in a harmonious, sweet, and clean cup profile. * * * The Taste Idea " Monteiro Lobato blend is coming back to our offer as we wanted to bring a classic Brazilian coffee profile. A coffee that suits any occasion and excels mainly in sweetness, low acidity, and a full body. It also performs wonderfully with milk. Caramel tones, wafer biscuits, chocolate ice cream and balance. That’s how we would define Monteiro Lobato blend.
