Lo que dice la marca

- Variety: Geisha - Country: Peru - Region: El Huabo, San Ignacio - Process: Washed - Altitude: 1800 MASL - Producer: Maximiliano Garcìa - Farm: Garmas - Roast Level: Light In the cup We taste sweet honey with delicate florals that remind us of jasmine. This coffee has a balanced citric acidity reminiscent of lemon-lime, with a light body and clean finish. Clean Funky Terroir Experimental About The Producer Maximiliano Garcìa is a first generation coffee grower, working alongside his wife, Esperanza, in the El Huabo region of San Ignacio. They are extremely dedicated and attentive producers, growing beautiful and clean Peruvian coffees. Maximiliano originally worked as a day labourer on other coffee farms until he had enough saved to buy his own farm. Every year, Maximiliano and Esperanza continue to learn, train, and invest into their farm, setting a great example for producers all over the region. Processing This Geisha lot is handpicked and sorted to remove any defects. The cherries are depulped and fermented in tanks for 24-48 hours. They are then washed and dried on raised beds for 15-30 days, depending on the weather. Variety Geisha was first collected from Ethiopian coffee forests in the 1930s and sent to Tanzania's Lyamungu research station before arriving at CATIE in Central America in 1953, where it was cataloged as T2722. Despite confusion over different "Geisha" plant types, genetic tests confirm that the Panamanian Geisha, descended from T2722, is distinct and renowned for its exceptional cup quality, with floral, jasmine, and peach-like aromas when grown at high altitudes. While originally from Ethiopia and popularized in Panama, the Geisha variety has found a special place in Peruvian coffee and thrives in its unique climate and fertile soils. Transparency Imported Apex We Paid $34.93 USD/KG Roasted Costs $42.15 USD/KG This is our second time working with Maximiliano and our first time working with his Geisha. In the cup we find a beautifully delicate cup of jasmine florals with a sweetness that reminds us of honey.
