Tasting notes Blueberry, pineapple & raisin Region Loja Farm El Dorado Altitude 1.700 -1.760 meters Variety Wush Wush Process Natural * * * About this coffee El Dorado Farm is run by the Elder family, who bought it in 2017. It is also part of the cooperative ChocoVilcaMundo (CVM), an Ecuadorian agricultural company owned by Bernard Uhe and his coffee-growing family from Colombia. The Elders and CVM worked together on a plan to grow almonds, but later decided to grow coffee instead. After finding the best seeds, the Elder Family and CVM started growing award-winning specialty coffee. In Elder’s family words, “What makes our coffee so good is the high elevation, good soil, mineral-rich mountain water, high-nutrient shade trees, 12 hours of sunlight year-round, and the use of neem and worm tea on the plants as a natural pesticide and fertiliser, which increases the vitality of the coffee plant and coffee beans. This produces a delicious, healthy cup of coffee.” El Dorado Farm’s first-year Green Geisha harvest took 13 th place in the 2021 Cup of Excellence with a score of 88.52. The farm’s Green Geisha placed 4th in the 2022 Cup of Excellence with a score of 89.10. The farm’s Green Geisha placed 6 th in the 2022 Ecuador Taza Dorada with a score of 90.10. In 2023, the farm’s Green Geisha placed 3rd in the Ecuador Golden Cup with a score of 89.75. In total, El Dorado Farm grows 4 varieties of coffee: Green Geisha, WushWush, Yellow Geisha, SL28, and the farm planted in 2024 a 5 th variety, Sidra, which is producing its first harvest this year. When cupping La Comarca’s last harvest samples (coming later this year), there was this other coffee to which the whole team kept coming back for its high sweetness and delicate tropical notes. El Dorado’s natural Wush Wush represents for us almost a perfect expression of what ‘clean’ natural coffee strives for. You will find notes of blueberry and pineapple’s acidity, together with a sweetness reminiscent of that from raisins. * * * All our coffees are roasted fresh every week. After your order, the coffee will be ready for shipping or pickup after 2 – 3 days. Shipping Pick up at roastery: free Within the Netherlands: € 4,95 -> orders above 50 euros: free shipping EU shipping: from € 8,00 depending on destination, weight, and order quantity. We offer all our coffees in beans because they stay fresh for much longer than pre-ground coffee. If you’d like to have your coffee ground, please indicate in the notes.
