Established in 1965, the Karatu coffee factory is located in the town of Gatundu in the Central Province of Kenya. Known for its exceptional quality and processing, coffee cherry is brought to Karatu by local farmers, where it is depulped and fermented for 24 hours and then washed once more, bringing the entire process to 72 hours. Coffee is then dried for up to 15 days to ensure stability. This is another stellar washed lot from Kenya, with sparkling, ripe flavors of honeydew, mango, and baking spice.
