Lo que dice la marca
This coffee is smooth, bright, and easy to enjoy — a balanced cup with crisp fruit and a mellow body. Grown high in the mountains of Huehuetenango, it brings together the spiced sweetness of cola, the freshness of blackberries, and the citrus lift of key lime. A vibrant choice for pour over or drip. We taste: Cola, Blackberry, Key Lime * * * ORIGIN & STORY From: AAPICUC (Association of Beekeepers and Coffee Growers of Unión de Cantinil) About: Huehuetenango's high elevations (1,300 to 1,800 meters), mineral-rich soils, and dry, hot winds from Mexico's Tehuantepec plains create unique microclimates that allow the coffee to thrive. This results in a cup with vibrant acidity, complex fruit notes, and excellent sweetness. Coffee farming is a cornerstone of the region’s economy, sustaining communities in the rugged highlands. This lot comes from AAPICUC, an association of coffee growers in Unión Cantinil, founded in 2011 by 43 producers. Their mission is to improve livelihoods through coffee production, providing opportunities for families in underserved rural areas. AAPICUC achieved organic certification in 2019 and Fairtrade certification in 2020. These milestones highlight their commitment to sustainability, fair trade, community development, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility, strengthening market opportunities for their members.
