Finca Santa Elisa Pachup is situated on the western slopes of the Acatenango and Fuego volcanoes in Guatemala’s Acatenango region, near San Pedro Yepocapa. This expansive estate covers 506 hectares, with 360 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. After a period of low production, the farm has undergone significant refurbishment and now yields a substantially higher harvest, processed carefully at the Beneficio La Esperanza mill by Los Volcanes Coffee. The proximity to the active Fuego volcano means extra attention is needed to wash the cherries thoroughly, removing volcanic ash to protect the processing equipment.
At Fjord, we appreciate this coffee’s bright and clean profile, enhanced by its washed processing method. The light roast highlights its delicate character and the unique qualities of the Marsellesa-Sarchimor variety grown here. It delivers a refined cup with subtle complexity, ideal for filter brewing. This coffee reflects both the remarkable terroir of Acatenango and the dedication of the producers to quality and innovation.
