This lot comes from the Coffee Gardens and is named after their field and processing officer, Jacky Nafuna, in appreciation of her dedicated work. Freshly picked, ripe cherries are first pulped, then submerged in water and fermented with their own pulp for twenty-three hours. After fermentation, the coffee is dried on African drying beds in solar dryers and meticulously sorted at 12 different stages . This results in a very clean, yet super sweet cup with notes of nectarine and brown sugar. When it cooles a hint of florals comes through reminding us of rosehip tea. We have tasted many samples from Uganda in the last few years and we can’t be more excited about how quality is improving year after year.
