Thank you, wise soul.). I mentioned coffee roasting, BOTZ and its brewing pals, and BOTZ bags traveling far and wide across the US. Then they hit me with my favorite question – “How do people know you exist?” It’s one I’ve pondered ever since BOTZ began. I have a few answers, but my favorite one is this - the pink bourbon variety. Let me explain. BOTZ has featured the pink bourbon more than any other variety. It’s in part because of the inherent quality of the coffee, the variety’s untamed charisma, and the amazing producers that nourish and care for their pink bourbon lots. It’s also partially because of the flavor nostalgia they invoke so vividly, a key factor in BOTZ’s menu selections. But lastly, it’s because we’ve personally witnessed their ability to change BOTZ’s own trajectory and course. A few lots have gone above and beyond their flavor range and cup expressions. They’ve wiggled their way into the right places (we have countless encouraging stories) and made BOTZ exist for more brewers than we can count. Through their ability to connect like-minded brewers and the coffee curious via word of mouth, they’ve reinforced our own belief in our unique model and its humble powers to reach those people we know would value it. Politely, respectfully, and robotically, we’re trying our best to find you organically and romantically one pink bourbon at a time. This pink bourbon from Finca El Espejo has a destiny in the BOTZ pink bourbon saga. We don’t know when, where, or what, but we can sense its power to spur BOTZ’s existence for those unaware.
