This Kenya Ngomano lot comes from Machakos County, an emerging coffee region in eastern Kenya known for producing vibrant, high-elevation coffees with remarkable clarity and structure. Sourced from the cooperative’s smaller “fly crop” harvest, the coffee was fully washed using traditional Kenyan processing methods that emphasize meticulous sorting, extended washing and slow drying on raised beds. Roasted lightly for filter brewing, the cup expresses classic Kenyan character through notes of black currant, ripe plum, and refined black tea, supported by lively acidity, layered sweetness and a clean, elegant finish.
