## Was der Röster sagt

> BASIC INFO Natural Tasting Note Violet + Purple grapes + Blackberry + Oolong tea Region Arbegona, Ethiopia Variety 74158 Process Natural Altitude 2400 masl Harvest November 2025 ABOUT 2400+ 2400+ is not just a physical altitude; for the coffee trees growing here, it means a greater temperature difference between day and night, a longer growth cycle, and more sugar accumulation. All of this represents a rarer and higher quality coffee. ABOUT ESTATE Bursa Coffee's founder, Mulugeta Muntasha, has been deeply involved in the coffee industry for over 30 years. In Bursa, Sidamo-Albergona, he collaborates with approximately 300 smallholder farmers, cultivating 74,158 coffee cherries. These farmers practice organic farming at an altitude of 2,350 meters. Each year, Bursa purchases over 1.2 million kilograms of ripe red coffee cherries from these farmers. In the early days of his business, Muntasha faced extremely low coffee prices. Due to meager profits, most farmers were unwilling to grow coffee. Later, he decided to expand his operations and focus on producing high-quality coffee. Five years ago, his eldest son, Degefu Mulugeta, graduated from university, and the father and son joined forces to transform and upgrade the entire coffee supply chain, jointly founding Bursa Coffee. Hure is a village-level administrative unit in Albergona, at an altitude of 2,400 meters. Bursa Coffee's decision to establish coffee cultivation in Hure stems from its belief in the region's immense future development potential. Another reason for choosing this location to expand coffee cultivation is that the local coffee trees are generally five years old or younger, exhibiting youthful and high-quality growth. Furthermore, while Albertona comprises over thirty village-level administrative districts, only a handful are suitable for coffee cultivation. Hure is not only one of the few suitable areas but also the newest developed coffee-growing region. Currently, apart from Bursa, there are no other coffee processing stations in this area. It's worth noting that they are also actively supporting local development by popularizing planting techniques, conducting farmer training, and distributing seedlings of coffee variety 74158 to the community, thus promoting the large-scale and widespread cultivation of coffee and driving the upgrading of the entire region. The increasing market demand has also created more income opportunities for coffee growers. Seeing their neighbors earn substantial profits from high-quality coffee, more and more farmers are joining the ranks of specialty coffee growers every year. Notably, this year, coffee from Hure won second place in the TOH Ethiopian Sun-dried category. When tasting this natural 74158, you can taste the floral aroma of violets, the full-bodied sweet and sour taste of purple grapes and blackberries, and the aftertaste of oolong tea.
