Founded in 2015 by engineers Dan Brose and Pontien Ntunzwenimana, the company aims to connect Burundian coffee farmers with international buyers through quality coffee processing and transparent supply chains The company operates two washing stations between 1700 and 1900 meters above sea level, serving a community of over 50,000 people. These stations produce high-quality Arabica coffee, mainly from the Red Bourbon cultivar, known for its excellent flavor profile Migoti Coffee employs both permanent and seasonal workers, many of whom are women. They provide local farmers with education on coffee tree maintenance to improve yield and quality, revitalising an industry devastated by the civil war from 1993 to 2003 Beyond coffee production, Migoti Coffee is involved in community development projects, including building a small hydropower plant to provide renewable energy and exploring new agricultural ventures like essential oil crops to diversify farmers' income Roast type We don’t label our coffee as espresso or filter. Instead, for each coffee we create a unique roasting profile, designed to bring out the best flavours from its origin, farm and milling method. That’s why, instead, we label our coffee based on the experience it brings to the cup. COFFEE EXPERIENCES VIBRANT & BRIGHT: A sweet, punchy and intense reminder that coffee is a fruit.
