## Was der Röster sagt

> MEET THE PRODUCERS | As is often the case throughout Ethiopia, most of the producers in West Arsi are smallholders. They still cultivate coffee using simple, traditional methods, and virtually all of the coffee grown in West Arsi is one of two JARC landrace selections. All of this is true of the lot coming from Mewa Washing Station, which is composed of microlots from hundreds of smallholders in Nansebo, West Arsi. TRUST THE PROCESS | This lot, composed of local landrace selections (74110, 74112), was processed as a traditional natural coffee. No fancy co-fermentation happening here, folks - just the textbook natural processing method with a whole lotta hand-sorting, and drying on African raised beds. TAKE A SIP | We always get excited when we taste a coffee that manages to toe the line between fermentation and "clean," and this lot certainly does that well! It's fun and tropical, with an abundance of fruit flavors like watermelon, kumquat, and passion fruit candy. But it's also smooth and sweet, reminding us of milk chocolate. Adventurous without being abrasive, this coffee is a testament to everything we love about Ethiopian naturals. ___________________________________________________________________________ Origin | Nansebo, West Arsi, Ethiopia Producer | hundreds of area smallholders Washing Station | Mewa Process | Natural Variety | 1975 JARC landrace selections (74110, 74112) Elevation | at and around 2000 masl
