## What the Brand Says

> karumandi aa Origin: Kenya, Karumandi, Kirinyaga Producer: 1,600 smallholder farmers (Baragwi Farmers) Process: Washed Varietal: SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, Batian Altitude: 1,600–1,800 masl Tasting Notes: stone fruits, purple fruits, blackberry, grape, plum, caramel, juicy We recently changed the roast. It taste like our first batch at Coffeenerd! Explosive and juicy but still clean. This coffee is a snapshot of place, grown on the cool, volcanic slopes of Kirinyaga and processed with extraordinary care at the Karumandi Factory. After pulping and density-sorting, cherries undergo a slow, shade-covered fermentation and a meticulous double soak, a hallmark of Kenyan excellence, before drying on raised beds for up to three weeks. We’ve roasted it ultra-light to let the nuances shine. Expect purple fruits, plum, raisins, caramel and a lot of juicyness. A lively start to East Africa’s season, bright, structured, and full of promise.
