## What the Brand Says

> Origin: Kirinyaga, Kenya Cooperative: Baragwi Factory: Kianjiru Process: Double Washed Variety: Sl-28, SL-34, Ruiru11, Batian Impressions: Gooseberry, Pomegranate, Redcurrant, Brown Sugar Altitude: 1600-1800 Importer: Forward Price Transparency: Price we paid per KG: $26.18 CAD Cost after roasting and shipping per KG: $30.18 Roast Level: Light 250G *Roasted May 26* Baragwi is currently the largest cooperative in Kenya with around 1,500 farmers as members in total. The whole society produces roughly 1,900 bags of coffee per season. The coffees from the Kianjiru factory in particular stood out to us in their distinguished quality and flavour, which can be attributed to the immaculate processing methods practiced at this station. Improvements are continuously being made here such as the installation of tiles in all washing channels and fermentation tanks, which helps maintain a clean environment for processing.
