## What the Brand Says

> Region: Bambito, Chiriqui Elevation: 1660-1800 masl About: Bambito Estate has been passed down through five generations of the Amar Sittón family. The patriarch of the family, Alberto Sittón Ríos, acquired the farm from his father in 1945 and it remained his lifelong passion. Today, Bambito Estate is run by Priscilla, her brother Rafael, and her son Ivan. Located high up in the cloudy forests of Volcan Baru, Bambito Estate is nestled between two national parks and is intersected by two mountain ridges running from east to west, creating two distinct microclimates for coffee cultivation. This unique setting produces Geisha that few places on Earth can match, boasting a clear sparkling acidity and strongly perfumed florals. In addition to Geisha, the Amar Sittón family also grow a few other varieties on the small 10-hectare farm. This naturally processed Yellow Catuai leapt off the cupping table during our most recent visit- it’s packed with loud red fruit notes, and a creamy mouthfeel, similar to a strawberry milkshake. We’ve had the privilege of knowing the Amar Sittón family since our first trip to Panama in 2010, and each time we visit it’s just a little more special.
