## What the Brand Says

> Region: Dipilto, Nueva Segovia Elevation: 1000-1450 masl About: Finca Buenos Aires sits high in the Dipilto Mountains of northern Nicaragua, close to the Honduran border. Founded by Luis Emilio Valladárez more than 50 years ago, the 75-hectare farm is now managed by his son, Olman, continuing a family legacy built around quality coffee. This particular plot, known as El Lino, forms part of Finca Buenos Aires and is planted with Caturra. A natural mutation of Bourbon first identified in Brazil, Caturra is a smaller, more compact coffee tree, allowing producers to plant at higher densities and making farm management and harvesting more efficient. It has since become an important variety throughout Central America. Beyond coffee, the Valladárez family supports local public health campaigns and community celebrations. Their approach centres on creating a sustainable, family-minded culture around the farm and supporting the people involved in producing their coffees.
