More than a decade later, that group has grown, and our relationships have deepened. In 2018, we noticed that these producers were doing so well that their production was increasing faster than we could sell it. Enter… Chicos Buenos (Good Guys). Chicos Buenos is a community blend we created with our producers in Santa Barbara, allowing us to continue purchasing more of their coffee. Because this coffee is a blend of several different lots, it scores higher than any of the individual components—it truly is greater than the sum of its parts. For the 2024 harvest, the producers contributing to this blend are Javier Fernandez, Nahun Fernandez, and Ovidio Gomez.
