Today, the group comprises 89 producers from the Yirgacheffe and Kochere wordeas (counties). The Kurume variety is well-known amongst coffee farmers in Gedeo and is prized for its delicate profile and exceptional cup quality. This lot was made specially for Proud Mary and is processed via the carbonic maceration (CM). For the CM method coffee cherries are fermented in sealed tanks before being dried on raised beds. This creates a very fruit-forward coffee with notes of tropical fruits.
