What the Brand Says
Product Description Producer Simon Brown & Merlith Cruz Cultivar Gesha Process Washed, Wet Fermentation Location Jaén, El Porvenir Altitude 2,050 masl Harvest August - September Expect notes of Kaffir Lime, Peach, Panela. Coffee Story Las Etiopes, nestled in the mountains of Jaén within the village of El Porvenir, is the brainchild of UK expatriate Simon Brown and his wife Merlith Cruz. Spanning eight hectares, this farm comprises a diverse landscape, with one hectare dedicated to the cultivation of Ethiopian Heirlooms and Geisha, while another hectare is planted with traditional varieties like Borbón, Caturra, and Catimor. Simon began his venture in 2019, driven by the promise he observed in the region's terroir during numerous harvest seasons spent in Jaén. This lot is a beautiful example of a classic Washed Gesha. Expect intense perfumed floral aroma with bright citrus acidity balanced by stone fruit sweetness. It is truly delicious. Roast type We don’t label our coffee as espresso or filter. Instead, for each coffee we create a unique roasting profile, designed to bring out the best flavours from its origin, farm and milling method. That’s why, instead, we label our coffee based on the experience it brings to the cup. COFFEE EXPERIENCES RARE & ACCLAIMED: Truly special stuff, from rare lots to award-winning coffees.
