Trabocca started their "Kenyan Coffee Revolution" with the Ndaironi cooperative, but was ended after board members devolved into old ways, something that Trabocca had a no-policy for. With Thiriku, Trabocca are re-introducing the ethos of the Kenyan Coffee Revolution, bringing agronomists to assist and educate farmers, as well as providing the resources necessary to scale up the production of bushes. The Thiriku Cooperative is based in Nyeri where the farms sit at around 1880 - 1970 masl. This coffee is a washed SL28 varietal, a fruity cup with lots of sweetness. - Origin: Thiriku, Kenya - Roast: Light-medium roast - Recommended preparation: Filter ## Prices [Friedhats Coffee Roasters](https://friedhats.com/products/kenya-thiriku-filter) ## Ratings 0/5 (0) ## Estimated taste profile (0–100) - acidity: 53 - bitterness: 35 - body: 38 - character: 15 - sweetness: 55 ## Similar coffees ### [Roasted Brown — Kenya - Thiririka AA \| Honeydew Melon, Grape & Dried Apricot \| For Filter Brewing](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/roasted-brown/kenya-thiririka-aa-honeydew-melon-grape-dried-apricot-for-filter-brewing) Available - Processing: Washed - $18.38 / 250 gram ($73.53/kg) — Available ### [CleverCoffee — Kenya Candy](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/clevercoffee/kenya-candy) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $23.70 / 250 gram ($94.80/kg) — Available - $260.69 / 4000 gram ($65.17/kg) — Available ### [Nomad Coffee — Filtro Karimikui Kenia](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/nomad-coffee/filtro-karimikui-kenia) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $26.18 / 250 gram ($104.72/kg) — Available ### [Rush Rush Coffee — Kenya Kiambu AB Filter](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/rush-rush-coffee/kenya-kiambu-ab-filter) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $19.50 / 250 gram ($77.98/kg) — Available - $71.30 / 1000 gram ($71.30/kg) — Available ### [Code Black Coffee — Kenya Thunguri AA Washed Filter - Single Origin](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/code-black-coffee/kenya-thunguri-aa-washed-filter-single-origin) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $20.26 / 250 gram ($81.04/kg) — Available - $67.31 / 1000 gram ($67.31/kg) — Available ### [Adore Coffee Roasters — Kenya Thuita](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/adore-coffee-roasters/kenya-thuita) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $14.15 / 250 gram ($56.59/kg) — Available - $41.55 / 1000 gram ($41.55/kg) — Available ### [Buraca Roasters — Kenya - Top Kiri](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/buraca-roasters/kenya-top-kiri) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $22.28 / 250 gram ($89.12/kg) — Available - $79.10 / 1000 gram ($79.10/kg) — Available ### [CaffeLab — Kenya](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/caffelab/kenya-gYT4wMMN) Available - Origin: Kenya - Processing: Washed - $15.60 / 250 gram ($62.39/kg) — Available ## More from this roaster ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Ethiopia Bogalech Dukalee Natural](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/ethiopia-bogalech-dukalee-natural) Available - Origin: Ethiopia - Processing: Natural - $17.42 / 250 gram ($69.70/kg) — Available - $59.26 / 1000 gram ($59.26/kg) — Available ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Ethiopia Ashenafi Getaneh Black Honey](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/ethiopia-ashenafi-getaneh-black-honey) Available - Origin: Ethiopia - Processing: Honey Process - $20.01 / 250 gram ($80.03/kg) — Available - $68.36 / 1000 gram ($68.36/kg) — Available ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Costa Rica Vista Paraiso](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/costa-rica-vista-paraiso) Available - Origin: Costa Rica - Processing: Natural - $18.99 / 250 gram ($75.98/kg) — Available - $64.75 / 1000 gram ($64.75/kg) — Available ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Panama Auromar \#4 Gesha Washed](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/panama-auromar-4-gesha-washed) No longer available - Origin: Panama - Processing: Washed ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Ethiopia Lalesa Black Honey](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/ethiopia-lalesa-black-honey) No longer available - Origin: Ethiopia - Processing: Honey Process - $19.56 / 250 gram ($78.25/kg) — Out of stock - $66.67 / 1000 gram ($66.67/kg) — Out of stock ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Costa Rica Adelina Fallas Honey](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/costa-rica-adelina-fallas-honey) No longer available - Origin: Costa Rica - Processing: Honey Process - $17.31 / 250 gram ($69.25/kg) — Out of stock - $59.03 / 1000 gram ($59.03/kg) — Out of stock ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Uganda Nyabirongo Washed](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/uganda-nyabirongo-washed) No longer available - Origin: Uganda - Processing: Washed ### [Friedhats Coffee Roasters — Tanzania Acacia Hills Washed Gesha](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/tanzania-acacia-hills-washed-gesha) No longer available - Origin: Tanzania - Processing: Washed ## Reviews Ratings: 0/5 (0) No public written reviews yet. - [Coffee](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/kenya-thiriku-filter.md) - [Similar coffees](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/kenya-thiriku-filter/similar.md) - [Reviews](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/kenya-thiriku-filter/reviews.md) - [Release history](https://www.coffeelist.co/b/friedhats-coffee-roasters/kenya-thiriku-filter/releases.md)
