Sourcing from farmers growing at 2000-2400 MASL, Shyira yields some of Rwanda's highest-grown coffee. Uplifted by the support of Muraho Trading Co and Raw Material, Shyira has shown remarkable resilience amid adversity. Shyira is showcasing the region's capacity for delicious specialty coffee and distinctive flavours. In 2020, Shyira was hit by an environmental disaster, as landslides and persistent rainfall spread across the region, causing monumental damage to communities and their livelihoods. Raw Material's collaboration with Muraho Trading Co uplifts cooperatives, enhancing coffee quality and accessing lucrative markets. With 100% of Raw Material’s profits flowing back to the almost 1800 smallholder farmers, this partnership has revitalised the community, supporting their rebuilding efforts and fueling impactful social change.
