What the Brand Says
WHY THIS COFFEE? This coffee stands out for its clarity and balance. Sourced from smallholder farmers near Yirgacheffe, it leans floral, fruity, and bright in a classic southern Ethiopian way, with a sweetness and a subtle chocolatiness that keeps the cup familiar. What makes it especially interesting is the white honey process, rarely seen in Ethiopia, where most coffees are washed or natural. After depulping, only a very thin layer of mucilage is left on the parchment before drying, which preserves brightness and delicacy while adding a fruitiness to the cup. The result is washed-like clarity with a little extra sweetness, highlighting the floral character of Worka Chelchele without pushing the coffee into funky or heavy territory.
