> Named as a response to rapid changes within the coffee industry in the late 2000s, this blend represents Commonplace’s desire to find our place in that scene. In the early days of specialty coffee’s third wave, founders TJ and Julie Fairchild visited New York City. The espresso they tasted there felt like a revelation and a step forward for the industry. TJ and Julie wanted to create something that would be a comfortable middle ground between tradition and modernity, a sweet and chocolaty espresso that would pair seamlessly with milk.
