Since her husband’s passing in 2016, she has led the family farm and with her son Tego; has worked to improve both quality and yield. Adanech sells her coffee through the Jabanto group, which has enabled direct sales to exporters since 2018. Her coffee is part of a broader move toward greater farm level traceability in Ethiopia, where single producer lots are increasingly separated from regional or washing station blends. This lot is naturally processed; ripe cherry is selectively handpicked and sorted, then dried whole on raised beds for around 18 to 21 days, with regular turning to ensure even drying. This results in a vibrant cup, combining expressive fruit character with delicate florals and a tealike finish.
